FCT is actively seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team in Canada. You will aggressively build and maintain relationships with lawyers and real estate professionals to grow sales and identify new opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of aggressive sales experience.
  • Strong customer focus with ability to prospect, create leads, grow business and manage accounts.
  • Proven exceptional presentation skills.
  • Strong initiative, communication, time management and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 8 years of legal and/or commercial real estate experience.
  • Strong business development experience in B2B sales.

Responsibilities

  • Aggressively develop and maintain new and existing relationships with target audiences to grow sales and identify opportunities (e.g., with lawyers/title-insurance stakeholders).
  • Understand market area by SWOT reviews and regular market scanning.
  • Scan the market for new business opportunities and concepts.
  • Proactively realign sales strategies to changing conditions to capture opportunities.
  • Maintain product knowledge and respond to customer questions via meetings and trainings.
  • Monitor competitors and share insights with the sales team.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships by providing support, information, and issue resolution.
  • Contribute to the Sales Team by sharing best practices and collaborating with internal partners.

Here’s How You’ll Contribute:
  • Aggressively develop and maintain new and existing relationships with various target audiences to help grow sales and identify new business opportunities. This can be achieved by establishing relationships with lawyers and constituencies of the title insurance related industry
  • Develop a clear understanding and awareness of the designated market/area by conducting regular reviews of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT).
  • Scan the market for new business opportunities and new concepts.
  • Proactively realign sales strategies to anticipate changing economic conditions in order to identify and capture opportunities
  • Maintain product knowledge with the ability to answer customer’s questions by participating in sales meetings, company training sessions, and reviewing internal communications for program changes and/or enhancements
  • Be aware of any competitors in the industry and share relevant information with the sales team
  • Maintain positive relationships with all customers by providing support and guidance, product/process information, investigating problems, and assisting in the development of solutions to ensure total customer satisfaction
  • Maintain expense control by reviewing individual personal budget and monitoring spending accordingly
  • Contribute to the overall Sales Team effort by proactively sharing best practices and working collaboratively with members of the team and work with internal partners to identify creative opportunities for new business
Here’s What You’ll Bring:
  • A minimum of 5 years' aggressive sales experience
  • A strong customer focus with the ability to prospect, create leads, grow the business and manage accounts while fostering close account relationships and generating new sales to achieve and exceed individual sales targets
  • Proven exceptional presentation skills
  • Strong initiative coupled with strong communication, time management and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Post- Secondary degree in Legal, business or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of legal and/or commercial real estate experience
  • Strong business development experience in a business to business sales environment
  • Proven ability in building and maintaining successful client relationships

As a condition of your employment, you may be required to obtain and maintain appropriate provincial licensing in order to sell FCT products and services

Total Direct Compensation: 95,300 - 145,300

Any pay range is in $CAD. The stated pay range reflects the total expected compensation for this role (e.g., base pay plus any expected incentives or allowances, where applicable)
