We're growing-and we're looking for a dynamic, experienced Business Development Associate to join our team and help shape the future of our business. As our Business Development Associate, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and positioning our services as the go-to solution in the industry. You will work closely with internal teams and senior leadership to deliver customized staffing solutions that exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Drive outbound sales efforts, including cold-calling and outreach in defined geographic or market areas
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and potential clients
  • Generate and nurture warm leads through networking, referrals, and industry events
  • Lead negotiations and close high-value business deals
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and client needs
  • Represent Duke Smart Staffing at industry functions, conferences, and meetings
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and project success
  • Continuously refine value propositions and tailor messaging to align with client priorities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in business development within the Shipbuilding/Defence industry
  • Deep understanding of industry trends, procurement processes, and key stakeholders
  • Proven ability to build rapport and close deals with C-level executives and decision-makers
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • High level of integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential information
  • Calm, professional demeanor in high-pressure situations
