We are seeking a Business Development Analyst to play a key role in advancing growth across Defense & Intelligence. This position supports strategic planning, pipeline development, and capture initiatives by providing high-impact contributions across the full business development lifecycle—from market research and opportunity identification to proposal development and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and bring curiosity, initiative, and hard work.

Due to the collaborative nature of this role and the requirement to access classified materials, this position is based in Colorado Springs and requires on-site presence at least three days per week.

Responsibilities:

The Business Development Analyst will be accountable for:

  1. Business Development & Growth Support:
    • Monitor market and customer trends to support development of growth strategies.
    • Assist in identifying/qualifying new business opportunities in alignment with sector goals.
    • Support proposal development, including content collection, editing, formatting, and compliance checks.
    • Help prepare internal and external briefings, marketing materials, and capture plans.
    • Contribute to knowledge management systems, including updating partner databases and pursuit tracking resources.
    • Attend planning meetings and customer/industry events to gain exposure to key initiatives.
  2. Strategic Planning & Market Positioning:
    • Assist in developing campaign materials and presentations that articulate value proposition.
    • Collect, organize, and synthesize inputs from internal stakeholders to produce consolidated after-action reports following conferences, customer engagements, and strategic events—highlighting key takeaways, action items, and recommended follow-ups to inform future planning and business development activities.
    • Research competitors, customers, and market shifts to inform team strategies.
    • Help identify partnerships and gather background materials for teaming efforts.
    • Support outreach to new and existing clients through email, events, and digital campaigns.
  3. Pipeline & Capture Support:
    • Maintain accurate and timely updates in Salesforce (or other CRM systems) to track pursuits and outcomes.
    • Generate reports and summaries to support forecasting and BD reviews.
    • Coordinate across functional teams to gather inputs for key milestones or deliverables.
Key Relationships:
  • Reports to: Director, Business Development, Defense & Intelligence
  • Internal: BD and capture managers, operations, contracts, pricing, HR, finance, and marketing teams.
  • External: Industry partners, customers, and conference contacts (with guidance and support).

This position is part of our Federal Solutions team, which delivers resources to US government customers in defense, security, intelligence, infrastructure, and environmental sectors. Salary Range:

$120,800.00 - $217,400.00
