  • The successful candidate will lead the implementation of operational resiliency, a new initiative within business continuity. They will ensure all testing is completed timely, providing insight into managing this emerging area. This role offers leadership in a forward-thinking environment with many unknowns.

Typical Day in Role :

  • Prepare transition plans for segment third-party vendors.
  • Act as liaison for vendor reviews and contracts.
  • Support the operational risk management framework by mapping various items daily.
  • Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity, supporting the new resiliency model.

Group Functions Technology :

Consultant, Business Continuity Management (Third-Party)

Enable business and IT partners to recognize and manage information risk within the Group Functions Technology Business Resilience Program. Collaborate to ensure key services, processes, systems, and technology for stressed / non-stressed Third-Party Transition / Exit Plans are managed effectively. Leverage teamwork and technology to deliver services during critical times.

Participate in projects to ensure information risk is considered and managed. Work remotely using collaboration tools to support business goals and infrastructure service delivery.

Business / Operational Resilience & Third-Party Vendor Program :

  • Prepare and execute vendor exit & transition plans for critical third-party vendors.
  • Serve as BCM contact for vendor reviews and contracts, especially for exit and transition plans.
  • Lead testing of third-party exit and transition plans.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to provide alternate work areas to ensure business continuity.
  • Engage with Risk Management and other SMEs as needed.
  • Support frameworks and processes like business impact analysis, recovery objectives, and critical path mapping.
  • Advise and support BU’s, IT, and project teams, ensuring BC and DR considerations are integrated.
  • Share best practices and deploy innovative solutions to manage information risk.

Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills :

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in Disaster Recovery, Business Resilience, IT / Systems, Project Management, or Vendor Management in a large organization.
  • Professional BCM certification (ABCP, CBCP, MBCI, or MBCP) or working towards it.
  • Strong MS Office skills and familiarity with BCM planning tools or relational databases (e.g., Fusion Risk Management, PowerBI).
  • Broad understanding of system technologies and resilience / disaster recovery techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to build relationships, influence, and engage others.
  • Knowledge of OSFI (B10 & E21).

Nice-To-Have Skills :

Experience with OSFI (B10 & E21).

Education :

  • BCM certification (or in progress) is a plus.
