Job description

Duration: 12+ Months (Possible Extension)

Pay Rate: CAD 100- 110/Hour + HST

Required Work Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience conducting, facilitating, and interpreting impact and risk assessments across multiple scenarios and environments.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in business writing, communication, and documentation, including reports, briefing materials, and formal assessments.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with Artificial Intelligence technologies, such as machine learning (ML) or natural language processing (NLP).

Experience & Skills

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the Alberta Health Information Act (HIA), including development and support of related artifacts such as:
  • Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA)
  • Security Threat Risk Assessments (STRA)
  • Business Impact Assessments (BIA)
• Extensive experience coordinating information management, privacy impact, and security risk assessments within IT projects (10+ years).
• Experience developing training materials to support business, privacy, or compliance initiatives (5+ years).
• Experience developing training plans to support organizational change and adoption (3+ years).
• Demonstrated experience with change management practices, including stakeholder readiness and impact analysis (5+ years).
• Strong background in information management concepts, privacy, and security, including experience with:
  • Access to Information Act (ATIA)
  • Protection of Privacy Act (POPA), formerly FOIP
• Experience developing information management policies, standards, and best practices (5+ years).
• Hands‑on experience implementing data security and privacy controls, including:
  • Security policies
  • Data de‑identification and anonymization
• Experience applying Responsible AI principles, such as fairness, bias detection, and explainability, including conducting AI‑related risk assessments and providing mitigation recommendations to senior leadership (1+ year).
