BUSINESS ANALYST – TORONTO

The Business Analyst in Trisura’s Business Application Management Office will be a key member of the product team, guiding and supporting product development activities. This role focuses on day-to-day maintenance issues primarily on our eCommerce platform, including investigating second-level issues, handling ad-hoc change requests, testing small releases, and updating documentation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing and preparing business requirements and data mappings in close collaboration with Operations, IT, and Product teams.
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of reported issues related to functionality, data, and small change requests to identify root causes, often involving complex, multi-application scenarios.
  • Testing enhancements, fixes, and new releases.
  • Managing issues from initiation to resolution, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure proper prioritization and completion.
  • Generating and curating ideas that deliver value to stakeholders.
  • Creating and maintaining procedures, process maps, and documentation as needed.
  • Contributing to the overall product vision and roadmap.
  • Managing the product backlog, prioritizing tasks based on evolving requirements.
  • Supporting all stages of product development, including design, development, and validation.
  • Liaising with underwriting, claims, and end-users to communicate updates.
  • Executing Business Acceptance Testing.
  • Providing timely updates to stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in business analysis within the Financial Services sector, proficient in analysis techniques.
  • Experience in QA or similar roles requiring broad analysis capabilities.
  • Insurance industry experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms, payment integration, and digital signature applications.
  • Understanding of user-centered design principles and quality standards.
  • University degree in Business, Management, Communications, or equivalent.
  • Business Analyst (CCBA or CBAP) certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, writing, and leadership skills.
  • Bilingual in English and French is a significant asset.
