Job description

At GoBolt, we provide a technology-driven, customer-centric and sustainable approach to ecommerce and last-mile logistics for businesses of all sizes – from local brands to large national retailers. By operating as an extension of our customer's team, we deliver best-in-class services every step of the way.

We're building North America’s largest electric vehicle fleet to help bring sustainability to an industry notorious for its heavy impact on the environment. We are in high growth mode and building for the future, which is where you come in!

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Analyst/Manager to support the Director of Sortation in overseeing our sortation network in Canada and the US. This mid-level role focuses on monitoring network performance, collaborating with site leadership, and raising operational issues daily to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met. The Operations Analyst will analyze data, track KPIs, and facilitate communication to drive continuous improvement across GoBolt's internal sortation network.

Why You'll Love This Role

  • Direct Impact: Your monitoring and issue escalation will keep the sortation network running smoothly, directly supporting operational success.
  • Collaborative Exposure: Work closely with site leaders and cross-functional teams, gaining visibility into the logistics ecosystem.
  • Growth Potential: Develop skills in data analysis, operational oversight, and leadership communication, paving the way for future roles in operations or supply chain management.
  • Dynamic Environment: Thrive in a fast-paced setting where your insights help solve daily challenges in a critical part of modern commerce.
  • Hybrid Flexibility: Operate from a central Toronto office and Markham sortation facility with modern tools supporting hybrid collaboration.

Key Responsibilities Network Monitoring & Analysis

  • Monitor daily operations across the sortation network, analyzing performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks, or deviations from safety, quality, and service standards.
  • Track and report key operational and quality metrics (e.g., throughput, sortation accuracy, on-time dispatch) using tools like Excel or Power BI.
  • Raise operational issues (e.g., equipment downtime, staffing shortages, mis-sorts) to the Director of Sortation and site leadership for timely resolution.

Site Leadership Support

  • Follow up with site leaders to ensure alignment on daily operational goals, addressing variances in performance or compliance.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to site managers to support decision-making and process improvements.
  • Assist in training site teams on KPI tracking, quality standards, and best practices to enhance operational execution.
  • Required to travel to the US and within Canada to support new site and initiative launches.

Issue Escalation & Communication

  • Identify and escalate critical issues (e.g., safety concerns, quality failures, or productivity gaps) to the Director of Sortation and relevant stakeholders daily.
  • Facilitate clear communication between site leadership, logistics, and other departments to ensure cohesive operations.
  • Prepare concise reports or summaries for business reviews, highlighting key issues and proposed solutions.

Continuous Improvement & Collaboration

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing data and identifying opportunities to optimize sortation processes.
  • Collaborate with logistics, finance, and customer service teams to align network performance with broader supply chain goals.
  • Contribute to strategic discussions by providing actionable insights based on network performance data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in an analytical or operational role within a 3PL, logistics, or sortation environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar data analysis tools.
  • Solid understanding of sortation operations, logistics processes, and key industry metrics (e.g., throughput, sortation accuracy).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience coordinating with operational leaders and escalating issues effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
