About the Role

The Business Application Analyst (Workday) is a senior-level role supporting enterprise HR applications within a large financial institution. This position focuses on Workday configuration, business process design, stakeholder collaboration, and application lifecycle support, with an emphasis on HCM, Compensation, and Security modules. You will act as a trusted subject matter expert, bridging business needs and technical execution while supporting projects, enhancements, and day-to-day operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Configure and support Workday business processes, primarily within HCM, Compensation, and Security
• Own intake and documentation for projects and major initiatives per PDLC methodology
• Develop and maintain business process documentation for owned applications
• Execute and manage Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) and related documentation
• Partner with Technology teams to ensure business, data governance, and quality requirements are met
• Review requirements and technical design documents, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities
• Provide solution options, risk mitigation strategies, and stakeholder recommendations
• Act as an escalation point for application and operational issues
• Support deployment, change management, and post-release stabilization
• Coordinate and prioritize multiple initiatives while keeping stakeholders informed
• Serve as a senior subject matter expert, guiding others within the Workday domain
