Job description

Our Client, a Banking company, is looking for a Business Analyst V for their Toronto, ON/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead, analyze, document, and manage business requirements throughout the lifecycle of an initiative in alignment with the business needs and strategies.
  2. Lead, analyze, document, and manage requirements with stakeholders by applying a variety of techniques to probe, elicit, challenge, understand, and gain consensus on requirements.
  3. Work with SMEs to identify, document, and validate current state processes and support stakeholders to design the desired future state; provide recommendations and/or direction based on the end-to-end customer experience when making decisions.
  4. Ensure business processes/systems impacted by requirements are analyzed and the acceptance criteria clearly demonstrate the changes to meet customer needs.
  5. Document requirement-related dependencies and constraints, bridging communication between business and technology stakeholders.
  6. Define acceptance criteria with relevant stakeholders for testing, support test script development, and communicate issues and resolutions.
  7. Manage the traceability of business requirements.
  8. Leverage domain, product, and systems knowledge to understand the business, product, and vision; provide subject matter expertise and identify opportunities for business value and innovation.
  9. Promote innovation and critical thinking to identify improvement opportunities.
  10. Notify and escalate issues promptly, assessing options and recommending resolutions.
  11. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on delivery framework, scope, and objectives.
  12. Apply analytical skills to understand business problems and ensure solutions align with client risk appetite.
  13. Identify, document, and manage risks and issues related to requirements, escalating as needed.
  14. Manage stakeholder concerns and ensure timely problem resolution.
  15. Support implementation and post-implementation activities.
  16. Assist in RFI or RFP planning and activities as required.
  17. Provide oversight and guidance to ensure quality, reusability, scalability, and innovation in requirements delivery.
  18. Adhere to the Client Code of Conduct.
  19. Participate as a team member, supporting a positive environment and effective communication.
  20. Continuously enhance knowledge and participate in knowledge transfer within the team.
  21. Stay current on industry trends and grow knowledge of the business and tools.
  22. Engage in personal development activities, including cross-training.
  23. Keep team members informed about project status and relevant activities.
  24. Assist others and contribute to a fair, supportive, and diverse work environment.
  25. Act as a brand ambassador internally and externally.
  26. Lead end-to-end requirement gathering and documentation for assigned projects.
  27. Support testing and traceability of requirements from initiation to execution.
Requirements:
  1. Comfortable with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  2. Ability to drive project teams to ensure comprehensive requirement capture and traceability.
  3. Experience in identifying and documenting requirement dependencies and constraints, facilitating communication between business and technology.
  4. Knowledge of Data Lifecycle Management.
  5. Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  6. Strong understanding of business analysis, delivery practices, and standards.
  7. Ability to act as a conduit for business and user interaction with technology.
  8. Leverage domain, product, and system knowledge to analyze impacted processes and define clear acceptance criteria.
  9. Identify risks and lead problem resolution.
  10. Lead requirements management for low to moderate complexity/risk projects.
  11. Possess discipline and subject matter expertise in requirements elaboration and validation.
  12. Support traceability and maintenance of requirements.
  13. Work independently with minimal supervision.
  14. Identify and lead problem resolution efforts.
  15. Report to a Manager or Practice Lead.
  16. Educational background: Undergraduate degree.
  17. 3-5 years of relevant business analysis experience.
  18. Preference for candidates with Business Analysis Accreditation.
