Business Analyst / Sales Analyst/ Market Insights Analyst
Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Business Analyst / Sales Analyst/ Market Insights Analyst is responsible for analyzing sales data, generating insights, and providing strategic recommendations to optimize sales performance. This role involves working closely with sales, marketing, and senior management to support data-driven decision-making and improve commercial effectiveness

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Collect, clean, and analyze sales data from multiple sources (CRM, ERP, distributor reports, /IQVIA data, etc.).
  • Track and evaluate sales performance against targets, KPIs, and historical trends.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and SQL.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and areas of opportunity for revenue growth.

2. Forecasting & Business Insights

  • Perform sales forecasting and demand planning based on historical data and market trends.
  • Assist in budgeting and revenue projections to support business planning.
  • Provide territory and product performance analysis to optimize resource allocation.
  • Analyze market share, pricing trends, and competitor activities using secondary data sources (IQVIA, etc.).
  • Support the sales team with territory and customer segmentation analysis.
  • Provide insights into the impact of new product launches, regulatory changes, and industry trends on sales performance.
  • Maintain and update CRM systems to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Work with sales teams to improve data input and reporting practices.
  • Provide salesforce effectiveness insights and recommendations.

5. Executive Reporting & Decision Support

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for senior management.
  • Present data-driven recommendations to sales, marketing, and leadership teams.
  • Support the development of sales strategies with data-backed insights
Skills & Qualification

The successful candidate is a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic team player who is resourceful and dedicated and has competencies in adapting to changing environments.

Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, Life Sciences, or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in sales analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role (preferably in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or consumer packaged goods).
Experience working with IQVIA, IMS Health, Symphony Health, or other pharmaceutical market data sources is a plus.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas, etc.).
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems
  • Understanding of ETL processes and working with large datasets

  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

$70,000 to $90,000 per annum
