A leading financial services provider is seeking a Junior Financial Business Analyst to support and initiate automation along with reporting influence within multiple Canada Segment Business units. The role involves collaboration, project analysis, and supporting financial integrity initiatives while fostering a culture of constant improvement.
We are currently seeking a Junior Financial Business Analyst with excellent communication and analytical skills with knowledge of project methodology and a digital mentality.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Financial Integrity and Controls, this individual will be a key member of the Financial Integrity and Controls team in supporting and initiating automation, reporting and influencing project outcomes.
The individual will have a unique opportunity to learn various aspects of several Canada Segment Business units as a project representative of a shared services team; they will have be able to collaborate with a broad range of operational and Finance teams.
Position Responsibilities:
Analyze project charters to determine Financial Integrity & Controls key accounting and testing requirements.
Contribute to the successful completion of projects & initiatives which impact Financial Integrity and Control functions.
Develop and maintain documentation for operational improvements & project implementations.
Lead, monitor and track improvement initiatives.
Ensure improvement initiatives align with organizational goals.
Effectively evaluate and communicate risk to enable decision making and strategic planning.
Financial Integrity and Controls project SME
Foster a culture of continuous improvements within the organization.
Assist in project planning, scheduling, and tracking to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
Analyze accounting model processes and determine impacts to the financial process and flows.
Required Qualifications:
Previous experience in project facilitation, business analysis, data analysis, or accounting experience is preferred.
Proficient in Excel
Power BI experience an asset
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Innovative thinker, able to influence and challenge the status quo to continuously improve processes
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with clients and stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Motivated self-starter, with ability to multi-task and able to handle priorities effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity or knowledge of agile, project management processes, process improvement methodologies and tools would be a key asset.
University degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent work experience is preferred

HybridSalary range is expected to be between
