LeverageTek is actively seeking a Business Analyst for a 6-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location

Remote (Preference for GTA or Calgary)

Key Tasks

• Gather detailed user requirements from both business and IT
• Help business users articulate not just needs, but potential new features/capabilities enabled by current technology.
• Translate business requirements into process documentation and (if possible) some technical specs with IT support
• Document both current state ("as is") and future state ("to be") of processes
• Assist in building a business case and collaborating with procurement to draft RFP requirements

Key Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years experience as a Business Analyst
• Experience gathering requirements in a Biotech or Healthcare environment
• Hands-on experience documenting both current state ("as is") and future state ("to be") of processes

Qualifications

• Proven experience serving as a liaison between business/testing stakeholders and IT teams, with a strong focus on gathering and translating requirements (rather than project leadership)
• Background in scientific or clinical environments, with an understanding of lab test results and process workflows
• Skilled at facilitating both process-driven and technical discussions, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders
• Experience facilitating discussions and "pulling" requirements from stakeholders with varying comfort/expertise
