Job summary

Meridian Lightweight Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced IT/Business Systems professional to support Plex ERP and Ignition integration.

You will lead customization, system configurations, and security audits while coordinating training for internal and external users. The role requires 5+ years in business analysis or related fields, a strong ERP background in automotive environments, and travel to support international sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems and 5–10 years of experience as a business analyst, software developer, or database administrator; leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of Plex ERP or another mainstream ERP, especially in automotive; SQL and BI tools are a plus.
• Demonstrated cross-functional capability; experience with Accounting, QA, Manufacturing, or Engineering.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support and system administration for Plex ERP; troubleshoot problems.
• Coordinate and deliver end-user training; create and maintain training materials.
• Drive implementation of business processes and policies to leverage technology tools.
• Identify best practices across Meridian locations and implement enterprise-wide.
• Champion new developments; develop specs for system enhancements; evaluate requests and research alternatives.
• Perform internal security and business process audits of Plex ERP and other enterprise software; report findings.
• Analyze business data on Plex ERP and other platforms to ensure policy compliance and report findings.

Primary Purpose of the Position

This position will be key member of the Meridian Business System's team in providing sound business and technical support, internal consulting, data auditing, and system development and maintenance, with a focus on Plex, a cloud based ERP System and Ignition, integration software. Responsibilities include leading customization and system integration efforts; leading maintenance of enterprise-wide system configurations and security policies; analysis of business data; project management; and coordination of the support and training of internal & external end users.

Major Responsibilities of Position

• Provide end user support and system administration for assigned functional areas with the Plex ERP. Troubleshoot and solve problems related to these systems.

• Coordinate and deliver end-user training for assigned functional areas. Create and maintain up-to-date training materials for use in training sessions.
• Drive the implementation of business processes and policies to best take advantage of the technology tools in place.
• Identify best practices developed at Meridian locations or partners and uniformly implement them across the enterprise.

• Champion new developments within assigned functional areas, work with end-users, process owners and management to develop specifications for system development and enhancement requests.

• Evaluate the requests for merit, research alternatives and complete as internal developments when possible.
• Perform internal security and business process audits on the Plex ERP system and other enterprise software platforms to ensure compliance with Meridian policies and standards and report audit findings on an ongoing basis.

Education, experience and skills

• A bachelor's degree in an information systems field, such as CIS, BIS or MIS degree and 5-10 years' experience as a business analyst, software developer or database administrator. Experience leading a team of technical resources would be essential.
• A demonstrated and thorough understanding of the Plex ERP System or another main stream ERP system, particularly in the automotive industry. Experience with SQL and/or business intelligence platforms such as Information Builders Web Focus or SAP Crystal Reports is an advantage. Additional experience with programing languages such as Visual Basic, Python or C# would also be considered a plus.
• Demonstrated cross-functional capability; experience working in or with other business disciplines such as Accounting, Human Quality Assurance, Manufacturing or Engineering
• Able to travel internationally
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadline
