Job summary

Bally’s Intralot is seeking a Senior Accounting and Consolidation Analyst to support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, lead consolidations, and ensure IFRS-compliant financial reporting for decision-making.

You will work with auditors and finance partners to prepare statements, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements within a fast-paced Ontario team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation or in-progress is preferred.
  • 3+ years in accounting, reporting, or controllership.

Senior Accounting and Consolidation Analyst (18-Month Contract)

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate about financial reporting, accounting excellence, and process improvement to join our team as a Senior Accounting & Consolidation Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting activities, financial statement preparation, consolidations, audit support, and maintaining the integrity of OLG's general ledger. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, strengthening internal controls, and delivering accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-making.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Senior Manager Accounting, you will be empowered to:

  • Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all financial reporting requirements.
  • Lead the consolidation of monthly and annual financial information, while analyzing financial results and identifying key trends and variances.
  • Prepare and maintain OLG's monthly financial statements, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting systems, data, and internal controls.
  • Compile, prepare, and analyze journal entries for review and approval, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial information for input into the Corporate General Ledger in accordance with IFRS and organizational standards.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting and related compliance requirements.
  • Prepare audit working papers and support external and internal audits by responding to requests and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Perform account reconciliations and financial analysis to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records and balances.
  • Participate in projects and strategic initiatives by supporting business requirements, testing activities, and process improvements related to accounting and financial reporting.
  • Prepare financial information and analyses in response to requests from internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, government agencies, service providers, and business partners.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME

Education & Experience:

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or working toward.
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting, auditing, financial reporting, or controllership experience.
  • Experience preparing financial statements, consolidations, account reconciliations, and audit working papers.
  • Experience supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting processes.
  • Experience working with IFRS accounting standards is preferred.
  • Experience supporting internal controls, audits, and process improvement initiatives is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Finance and business teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with financial reporting systems, accounting software, ERP solutions, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity.
  • Ability to exercise sound professional judgment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
