Job summary

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is seeking a Director, National Draw Based Games, to lead strategy, planning, marketing, and performance for the National Draw portfolio across Retail and Digital channels. Responsibilities

  • Own, plan, and deliver annual revenue and profit targets for National Draw across Retail and Digital.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and product planning for Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49, Daily Grand and programs.
  • Develop category budgets, marketing plans, and partnerships to meet objectives.
  • Develop and execute annual business and marketing plans including growth strategies and customer engagement programs.
  • Create category strategies aligned with Masterbrand and enterprise priorities.
  • Oversee analytics to optimize plans and drive KPIs.
  • Lead media strategies and activation with partners and agencies.
  • Represent OLG with Interprovincial Lottery Corporation on national portfolio goals.
  • Provide leadership for jackpot initiatives and promotions to drive sales.
  • Act as Product Lead for launches, enhancements, retirements, and system improvements.
  • Partner with Enterprise Brand & Marketing on sponsorships and digital campaigns.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team focused on accountability and innovation.

Job description

Salary Range: Director National Draw Based Games (12-Month Contract)

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate about product strategy, portfolio growth, and customer engagement to join our team as Director, National Draw Based Games. In this role, you will lead the strategy, planning, marketing, and performance of OLG's National Draw portfolio across both Retail and Digital channels. Accountable for a portfolio generating approximately $1.6 billion in annual revenue, you will drive player participation, business growth, and customer satisfaction through the development and execution of innovative product and marketing strategies. Working closely with internal stakeholders, agency partners, and national lottery partners, you will help shape the future of one of OLG's most iconic product categories.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
  • Report to the Vice President Lottery Product, you will be empowered to: Own, plan, and deliver annual revenue and net profit to the province (NPP) objectives for the National Draw category across Retail and Digital channels.
  • Lead all budgeting, forecasting, and product planning activities for Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49, Daily Grand, and supporting category and retail programs.
  • Develop and manage category operating, marketing, promotional, and partnership budgets to meet divisional and corporate objectives.
  • Lead the development and execution of annual business and marketing plans, including growth strategies, product initiatives, financial objectives, and customer engagement programs.
  • Develop category strategies that align with OLG's Masterbrand, enterprise priorities, and long-term business objectives.
  • Oversee performance measurement and analytics, leveraging data and insights to optimize plans and drive achievement of key business performance indicators.
  • Lead the development and execution of media strategies, briefings, and activation plans in partnership with internal stakeholders, media agencies, and external partners.
  • Serve as OLG's lead representative with the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation (ILC), helping shape national portfolio strategies, sales objectives, player growth plans, and profitability targets.
  • Provide strategic leadership for jackpot category initiatives, promotions, and accelerations designed to drive incremental sales and player participation.
  • Act as Product Lead for National Draw game launches, enhancements, retirements, and system improvements while ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Enterprise Brand & Marketing to develop sponsorship strategies, social media initiatives, and integrated marketing programs that strengthen player engagement and brand performance.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing, commercially focused team while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME

Education & Experience:

  • University degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in business, product management, marketing, category management, or a related commercial environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience delivering business growth, operational excellence, and strategic objectives.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience collaborating across large organizations to solve complex business challenges and deliver enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing product, marketing, and growth strategies within a consumer-focused organization.
  • Experience managing significant budgets, forecasting activities, and business performance measurement.
  • In-depth knowledge of the lottery, gaming, entertainment, or related consumer industries is considered a strong asset.

  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to drive revenue growth, profitability, and market performance.
  • Expertise in product strategy, portfolio management, marketing, consumer insights, and customer engagement.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across internal and external partner groups.
  • Strategic thinking skills with the ability to identify opportunities, anticipate market trends, and drive innovation.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behaviour, demographic and psychographic analysis, and customer experience principles.
  • Ability to lead complex initiatives across product, marketing, retail, digital, and operational functions.
