Northern Employment Solutions Inc. is supporting a client in Ontario in recruiting a Business Analyst to bolster the operations and finance team.

You will track revenue and expenses, build financial models, review contracts, and ensure data integrity across systems. You will develop dashboards and KPIs for leadership, conduct variance analysis, and partner with technology and operations to enable system upgrades and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in business/finance.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, modelling and reporting.
• Proficient with Excel and data visualization tools.
• Strong understanding of business processes, systems and data management.
• Experience with contracts and performance tracking is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and analyze revenue, expenses, and bonus structures across all divisions.
• Build and maintain financial models to support forecasting, planning, and decision-making.
• Review and interpret contracts, agreements, and financial documents to ensure accuracy and alignment.
• Manage systems and databases, updating spreadsheets, pulling detailed reports, and ensuring data integrity.
• Create and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and performance scorecards for leadership.
• Conduct business process reviews, identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements.
• Partner with technology and operations teams to support system upgrades, integrations, and automation projects.
• Assist in developing budgets and variance analysis to track organizational performance against targets.
• Provide competitive and market analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Act as a liaison between management and technical teams, ensuring business needs are translated into clear requirements.
• Document business requirements, workflows, and policies to create clarity and consistency.
• Support compliance by ensuring processes align with regulatory and industry standards.
• Present findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Proven experience in financial analysis, modelling, and business reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel, data visualization, and reporting tools (Power BI/Tableau is an asset).
• Strong understanding of business processes, systems, and data management.
• Familiarity with contracts, bonuses, and performance tracking is an asset.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with leadership and cross-functional teams.
