Lock Search Group is seeking a Business Analyst to gather and analyse business requirements for development and digitisation projects. You will bridge business needs with technical solutions and work closely with stakeholders to define goals and ensure successful delivery.

You will develop BRDs, use cases, and test plans, while producing training materials for end‑users. Strong communication and data analysis skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar in software/project delivery.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and data analysis.
• Experience with SQL, Power BI and data modelling is highly advantageous.
• Working knowledge of HMIS, Nexus, Quantum, Sage is an asset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; CBAP/PMP/Agile certifications are assets.

Our client, a well-established non‑profit organization, is looking for a Business Analyst.

Overview of Position:

The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analysing business requirements, identifying opportunities for process improvements and bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to define project goals, document functional specifications, and ensure successful implementation and delivery of projects. Strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable business outcomes are essential. Responsible for driving data-driven decision-making and supporting strategic business objectives.

Major Activities/Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to research, analyze, document business requirements for application development and digitisation initiatives.
• Contribute to developing functional solutions addressing simple to highly complex business needs, spanning various technologies, applications and functional areas.
• Project manager for application/digitisation initiatives from inception to completion.
• Produce comprehensive and lucid documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs), use cases, business cases, project charters, project plans.
• Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows within an Agile/Scrum framework.
• Act as a liaison and subject matter expert (SME) between internal stakeholders, external vendors and relevant parties, translating business requirements into technical and design solutions, ensuring alignment of priorities and successful project delivery.
• Conduct thorough analysis of data, business processes, systems, current and future state workflows to identify opportunities for ongoing process improvement, refining internal methodologies and best practices.
• Develop test plans, test cases and conduct testing to ensure application/digitisation deployments meet specified requirements and quality standards.
• Create training manuals to support end‑users during implementation and post‑implementation phases.
• Work on other initiatives and/or projects to support the organisation where required.

Education, Experience, Skills and Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, finance or related field.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation and/or Certification in Agile or Scrum methodologies is considered an asset.
• PMP certification is advantageous.
• 4+ years proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in software/application/system/workflow development/project management.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, SQL, Power BI and data analysis and understanding of data modelling is highly advantageous.
• Working knowledge of HMIS, Nexus, Quantum, Sage an asset.
• Experience in managing vendor and team relations.
• Advanced MS Word skills, specifically in Excel is required.
• Strong analytical skills translating complex business needs into technical solutions.
• Conflict resolution and consensus building skills, with the ability to identify risks by thoroughly assessing implications of proposed solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at engaging with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong writing, presentation, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Takes initiative, detail‑oriented, with effective deadline management.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks across multiple projects simultaneously.
