Job summary

Metro Supply Chain Group is seeking a detail-oriented team member in Mississauga to support data governance across transportation and logistics operations. You will input and maintain data in multiple systems, ensure accuracy of reports, and assist with SharePoint-based information sharing within the Transportation group.

The role emphasizes collaboration with various teams, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of Transportation and Logistics experience.
  • Computer literacy with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Use data systems to gather or input data in support of duties.
  • Maintain data repositories across systems including adding/modifying/removing data.
  • Support ad hoc or routine requests for business needs.
  • Liaise with teams to identify gaps and escalate issues as needed.
  • Apply corrections to data or reports as required.
  • Communicate with stakeholders when intervention is needed.
  • Provide QA of imported data and troubleshoot issues.
  • Generate and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, and job aids.
  • Coordinate work priorities and ensure deadlines are met.

Responsibilities
  • Use single or multiple systems to gather or input data in support of duties.
  • Maintain data repositories in various systems, including adding, modifying, removing, and archiving data.
  • Support ad hoc or routine requests in support of business needs.
  • Liaise with various teams to identify gaps and issues, and address or escalation any areas of concern.
  • Liaise with various teams to apply any required corrections to relevant data or reports.
  • Communicate and elevate to stakeholders when requiring intervention or guidance.
  • Communicate effectively and assist the supervisor or Manager with addressing feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Process confidential data and information according to defined processes.
  • Perform assessments to ensure accuracy of reports.
  • Provide quality assurance of imported data, troubleshooting any data issues.
  • Perform assessments to ensure accuracy of reports.

  • Use and update SharePoint as the preferred tool to share information, documentation, etc., with the Transportation group.
EDUCATION
  • College Certificate or University Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Technical, is an asset
Experience
  • Transportation and Logistics experience (1-2 years)
  • Computer literacy and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially moderate to advanced Excel use
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
