Job Description

As a Business Analyst, you will work with stakeholders from different departments to understand the processes and software packages currently in use, helping to define or modify processes and working methods to meet company objectives. You will be responsible for defining modifications, drafting achievement records, ensuring that all system tests have been carried out and that all documentation is complete. You must implement and manage changes, and translate company data into understandable information that will be used to improve business processes.

More specifically, you will:

1. Implement an overall management plan for each project and hold regular stakeholder meetings to keep all parties informed of project progress.
2. Develop and maintain processes and procedures for using the system.
3. Manage day-to-day interactions with subcontractors and suppliers specializing in the implementation of new software packages to ensure the best quality/price ratio for Davie.
4. Develop and deploy communication strategies for all system implementations, including user training.
5. Use lessons learned from previous projects to identify weaknesses in existing systems and processes, and implement changes to address them.
6. Ensure that documentation associated with the entire system/process change team is up to date and accurate at all times.
7. Work with the VP of Information Technology to make recommendations on system upgrades and purchases.
8. Develop complete test cases at application and multi-application levels.
9. Identify business trends using real data, prepare analysis reports for developers, and keep track of all results.
10. Participate in training activities on the use of information technology systems and office automation tools.
11. Participate in the development, implementation, and improvement of IT tools adapted to the company’s needs.
12. Participate in the development and update of IT policies and rules.
13. Attend management review meetings as required.
14. Support and participate in all internal and external audits.
15. Build, configure, and troubleshoot software enhancements and application deployments.
16. Train users as needed.
17. Provide hands-on support for the administration, maintenance, and operation of the system.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ relevant experience as a business analyst.
• Proficiency in French and English (written and spoken). Fluency in English is required for this position, as you will interact with English-speaking suppliers.
• Proven ability to work effectively with clients and other organizations and departments.
• Experience in working with Kronos, Primavera, Oracle, PLM, HRIS would be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of SQL database would be considered an asset.
• To be selected, you must undergo the investigation and security clearance process required under the federal government’s Contract Security Program.
