Business Analyst Contract Duration: 1 Year Location: Edmonton, Alberta (Remote candidates considered) Job Summary We are seeking a Business Analyst for a one-year contract to support multiple IT projects. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather and document requirements, analyze business processes, support data migration activities, and coordinate testing and implementation efforts. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable managing competing priorities across multiple projects while ensuring business needs are clearly translated into actionable technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support data migration initiatives, including data mapping, validation, requirements gathering, and documentation.
• Analyze, document, and improve business processes, workflows, and operational requirements.
• Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into clear functional requirements and supporting documentation.
• Develop and support test plans, test cases, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities.
• Coordinate UAT activities with business stakeholders, track issues, and facilitate business sign-off.
• Collaborate with business teams, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
• Support multiple IT projects simultaneously, balancing priorities, timelines, and competing demands.
• Assist with project discovery, process definition, implementation, and post-implementation activities as required.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate progress, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst supporting IT projects.
• Experience with data migration, including data mapping, validation, and related requirements.
• Strong business process analysis and documentation skills.
• Experience supporting software testing and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), including business sign-off.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders across business and technical teams.
• Experience working across multiple projects and managing competing priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable documentation and support projects through implementation.

Work Arrangement

The preferred location is Edmonton, Alberta;however, remote candidates will also be considered.
