• Report any student incidents or concerns to the Principal promptly.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment for students on the bus.
• Follow all school policies and health and safety requirements.
• Ensure the bus is clean, orderly, and in safe operating condition.

Position Summary:

The Bus Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation for students throughout the city on a daily basis. The Bus Driver is also responsible for completing and maintaining accurate vehicle maintenance and inspection records, ensuring the bus remains in safe operating condition, and promptly reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.

Principles of Faith:

• Be deeply committed to a consistent daily walk with God; spend personal daily time in prayer and devotions.
• Be a member in good standing of a local church, which has a statement of faith in agreement with the statement of faith of CHS.

• Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others. This includes being committed to God's Biblical standards outlined in the staff handbook.

Qualifications:

• Minimum valid Class 2 Manitoba Driver's Licence

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current First Aid and CPR training or certification
• Previous experience transporting children or working with students

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation for students to and from Christian Heritage School and various school-related locations
• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the school bus
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the Board promptly
• Complete the daily bus log and submit records to the school office on a monthly basis
• Report any student incidents or concerns to the Principal in a timely manner
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment for students while on the bus
• Follow all school policies, procedures, and applicable health and safety requirements
• Ensure the bus is kept clean, orderly, and in a safe operating condition
