Job summary

Kispiox Community School is seeking a dedicated Bus Driver to transport students along established routes in a safe and timely manner. You will follow approved routes and schedules, ensuring students reach their destinations safely.

The role requires a Class 2 Driver's licence, a clean driving abstract, and a minimum of two years’ safe driving experience. First Aid is an asset, and a thorough knowledge of BC traffic regulations is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years safe driving experience.
• Clean driver\'s abstract.
• First Aid certificate an asset.
• Knowledge of BC Legislation: Highway Traffic Act, Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, National Safety Code.
• Ability to remain attentive when faced with distractions.

Responsibilities

The Bus Driver is a member of the school team whose primary responsibility is to transport students of various ages to and from their homes in a safe manner. The individual is responsible for following established routes and ensuring the established schedule is followed so students arrive safely at their destination on time.

Qualifications:

• Class 2 Driver's licence
• Knowledgeable about BC Legislation regarding the laws and regulations that apply to the operation of commercial vehicles such as: The Highway Traffic Act, Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, and National Safety Code;
