Job summary

The Slocan Valley Co-operative Association is seeking a Petroleum Manager for the Castlegar Petroleum Department in Genelle, BC. You will lead the Bulk Petroleum team, drive sales, manage budgets, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while delivering excellent customer service.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee pricing, margins and inventory, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and foster strong relationships with members and customers in the Castlegar region.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in a retail environment with extensive management, petroleum, lubricant and equipment experience.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities with effective communication and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Manage, oversee, and lead the Bulk Petroleum department strategy and day-to-day operations.
• Maintain service standards by coaching and motivating Petroleum Team Members.
• Ensure safety, environmental regulations and budgeted goals are met.
• Develop budgets and monitor pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory.
• Build strong customer relationships through strategic marketing and networking.
