Job summary

Braemore Management in Edson, Alberta is seeking a building maintenance worker for permanent full-time duties at a residential property.

The role requires onsite work at the location with apartment/condominium complex duties, on-site housing options, and on-site parking. You will handle preventive maintenance, tenant showings, and daily upkeep, including safety and routine repairs.

Qualifications

• Permanent full-time position.
• Ability to perform multiple maintenance tasks at a residential property.
• Willingness to work at a fixed location with on-site housing options.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs.
• Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings.
• Make minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
• Perform minor appliance repairs and safety checks.
• Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies.
• Paint and drywall repair as needed.
• Water plants and tend lawns/gardens.
• Clean bathrooms and fixtures and maintain documentation.

• Salary 28.00 hourly / 35 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of employment Permanent employment Full time

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work setting

• Apartment/condominium complex
• Room and board provided

Tasks

• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
• Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
• Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
• Perform minor repairs on appliances
• Perform safety and security checks
• Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants
• Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
• Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
• Work with minimal supervision
• Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
• Keep maintenance reports and documentation
• Prepare merchandise for purchase, rental or lease
