Job summary

Boardwalk is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to address resident maintenance requests, perform renovations, and manage on-site tasks to ensure health, comfort and safety. The role includes on-call emergencies, vacant-suite work, and coordination with the Customer Care Team.

Candidates should have 2+ years of renovation experience, be fluent in English, and able to work independently or within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the health, comfort and safety of Resident Members.
  • Address maintenance requests within 72 hours.
  • Perform on-call emergency maintenance per schedule.
  • Maintain vacant suites and conduct renovations per standards.
  • Handle general building and common area maintenance.
  • Coordinate turnover inspections with Customer Care Team.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and reporting.
  • Ensure contractors complete work per quality standards.
  • Participate in training and continuous learning.
  • Assist with snow removal as needed.

Do you have experience in building maintenance and renovations? To ensure our Resident Members’ peace of mind, we are looking for a talented candidate to address all maintenance requests and emergencies. If you are passionate about fixing things, good with your hands, and mechanically adept, this role is for you!

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of our Resident Members
  • Address requests for maintenance within 72 hours
  • Perform on-call emergency maintenance according to schedule
  • Vacant suite maintenance, renovations and touch-ups per established quality standards
  • General common area and building maintenance
  • Coordinate inspections of turnover suites with the Customer Care Team
  • Preventative Maintenance inspections and reporting
  • Ensure contractors complete their work per established quality standards
  • Participate in training and engage in continuous learning
  • Assist with snow removal as needed
  • Complete all required administration for the position on a tablet
  • Complete other duties as assigned
Experience And Educational Requirements
  • 2+ years of renovation experience
Technical Requirements
  • Working knowledge of English language both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with technology is required
  • Painting and finishes – cleaning, sanding, priming, painting, textured surfaces
  • Plumbing – repair and install toilets, sinks, faucets, valves, run power auger to clear blocked lines
  • Electrical – replacing light fixtures, switches and receptacles
  • Drywall – repair
  • Countertops – repair, replace
  • Floors – repair laminate, carpet, tiles, and install, repair baseboards
Nice To Have
  • Additional skills and experience in framing, tiling, drywall, flooring, and plumbing
  • Basic knowledge of hydronic heating systems and furnaces
  • Doors, windows, and cabinets – repair, replace, and install
  • Locks – repair, replace, rekey, and mastering
  • Appliance – repair and install
  • Asbestos abatement certification
Non-Technical Requirements
  • Ensure to have majority of the tools on the tool list (list provided during interview)
  • Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment (at any location as needed)
  • Ability to spend up to eight hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting
  • Ability to maneuver up to 90 kg with the proper equipment
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
