Job summary

Taylor Ryan Executive Search Partners seeks experienced commercial Building Operators for Etobicoke, Mississauga and Brampton. You will maintain HVAC/electrical systems, manage mechanical spaces, and liaise with tenants to resolve requests while upholding safety standards.

You will inspect facilities, coordinate with contractors, and support daily duties for the Senior Operator and Property Manager. Competitive salary offered with on-site work and after-hours rotation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an operator in commercial, retail and industrial buildings.
• Thorough understanding of complex mechanical and electrical systems (pumps, boilers, chillers, towers, AHU).
• Knowledge of building automation systems and instrumentation is essential.
• Diploma/Certificate in Building Systems or BES I/II is an asset.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, structural and plumbing drawings; fire/life safety knowledge.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and meeting schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical, mechanical and HVAC equipment for safe, efficient operation.
• Keep mechanical/electrical/pump rooms and common areas clean and orderly.
• Routinely inspect buildings and report maintenance needs to Supervisor.
• Respond to tenant requests promptly and maintain strong relationships.
• Cooperate with outside contractors and ensure safety compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems calmly in stressful situations.
• Assist with daily tasks and collaborate with Senior Building Operator and Property Manager.
• After-hours on-call coverage on a rotation basis.
