FearIsNotLove seeks a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to ensure the safety and functionality of its Emergency Shelter property in Calgary. This full-time role involves managing preventative maintenance, overseeing contractors, and responding to emergencies, supporting a mission dedicated to combating domestic violence and fostering safe communities.
The Building Operator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of FearIsNotLove’s Emergency Shelter property and collaborates with property management for the Administration Office building. This role ensures the overall safety, functionality, and compliance of facilities, including managing preventative maintenance, coordinating repairs, supervising contractors, and responding to after-hours emergencies. This is a non-union role working 35 hours per week.

The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of FearIsNotLove’s Emergency Shelter property and collaborates closely with property management for the Administration Office building. This role ensures the overall safety, functionality, and compliance of the facilities, including managing preventative maintenance, coordinating repairs, supervising contractors, and responding to after-hours emergencies. The role requires hands-on involvement in troubleshooting issues and a working knowledge of trades such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry.
This is a full-time, non-union position, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8am-4pm, 9am-5pm or 7am-3pm) with flexibility to work evenings and weekends for on-call purposes.
