Job summary

Allied is a leading owner-operator of distinctive urban workspace in Canada. We seek a Building Operator to maintain building systems and support tenants across our portfolio in Canada’s major cities.

You will monitor HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire safety systems, respond to tenant requests, and supervise contractors to ensure high safety and reliability. The role requires hands-on maintenance and after-hours readiness.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in building operations or a similar role.
• Knowledge of provincial building codes and safety standards.
• Able to work at heights and lift 25 lbs.
• Comfortable with on-call shifts or overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, adjust, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire safety systems.
• Respond promptly to tenant requests and manage work orders.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
• Supervise contractors for maintenance tasks and safety compliance.
• Assist with seasonal tasks like snow removal and landscaping.
• Conduct regular fire system tests and safety checks, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Be available for after-hours emergencies and escalations.
