Job summary

475 High Performance Building Supply in North America seeks a Product Consultant to work with architects, engineers, builders, and project owners to optimize high-performance solutions for energy-efficient buildings.

The role builds relationships, supports specification of solutions, provides local technical support, and manages the sales cycle from lead generation to close, including regional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in architecture, construction, engineering, business development, sales or logistics.
• Strong interest in sustainable construction and high-performance, low-energy building practices, especially Passive House.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Gmail, Dropbox, and Salesforce preferred.
• Proactive with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team.
• Annual salary: CAD 60,000 CAD - CAD 100,000 CAD (based on experience).

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture relationships in assigned territory to establish reputability as a source of expert advice and tangible solutions.
• Diligently reach out to existing and new accounts to help architects specify appropriate solutions and build new business.
• Provide local technical support to building professionals through office and job site visits and trainings.
• Manage sales cycle including lead generation, identification of opportunities, estimate creation, closing sales, and follow-up/site support.
• Make regular office presentations to architects regarding high-performance construction topics.
• Engage with local trade associations and networking groups.
• Represent 475 at regional trade shows, as required.
• Identify opportunities for growth in your region.

The Product Consultant works with architects, engineers, builders, and project owners to optimize high performance solutions for energy-efficient buildings. Successful candidates should be motivated, ambitious, and confident about the opportunity to grow the use of high-performance building practices in their region, while enthusiastic about helping 475 grow our company, brand, and influence.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture relationships in assigned territory in order to establish reputability as a source of expert advice and tangible solutions to high performance building challenges.
• Diligently reach out to existing and new accounts to help architects specify appropriate solutions, and to build new business.
• Provide local technical support to building professionals, through activities including office and job site visits, in-depth trainings, etc.
• Manage sales cycle including: lead generation, identification of new opportunities, estimate creation, closing sales, and project follow-up/site support.
• Make regular office presentations to architects regarding various aspects of high-performance construction: airtightness, moisture control, insulation, daylighting, etc.
• Actively engage with local trade associations and other networking groups.
• Represent 475 at regional trade shows, as required.
• Identify opportunities for growth in your region.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A degree in one of the following disciplines: architecture, construction, engineering, business development, sales or logistics.
• Strong interest in sustainable construction and high-performance, low-energy building practices, especially Passive House design and construction.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Gmail, Dropbox, and Salesforce preferred.
• Proactive with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team.
• Annual salary: $60,000 CAD - $100,000 CAD (based on experience).

This position is remote but requires ability to occasionally travel to the Greater Vancouver Area.
