Job summary

The successful candidate will operate cleaning equipment, conduct repairs, and perform various maintenance tasks in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have a WHMIS certificate and be capable of handling physical demands. This is a permanent position with flexible hours from 16 to 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners and perform maintenance tasks.

• Perform safety checks and clean outdoor areas like walkways.

Job description

• Experience : Experience an asset

Tasks

• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
• Perform minor repairs on appliances
• Perform safety and security checks
• Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
• Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
• Work with minimal supervision
• Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas

• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
