Job summary

Boardwalk is seeking a Maintenance Technician at Patrician Village in NW Calgary to handle maintenance requests and emergencies. The role requires hands-on, mechanical aptitude and the ability to address issues promptly.

Applicants should have 2 years of maintenance experience; 3 years of renovation experience is an asset. A valid driver’s license and own vehicle are required for this on-site position. Boardwalk offers competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.

• Address maintenance requests within 72 hours.
• Perform on-call emergency maintenance.

• Coordinate inspections of turnover suites with Customer Care Team.
• Preventative maintenance inspections and reporting.
• Ensure contractors complete their work per established quality standards; assist with snow removal.
• Complete other tasks and assist other sites as required.

Experience And Educational Requirements

Technical Requirements

• Working knowledge of English language both verbal and written
• Familiarity with technology is an asset

Non-Technical Requirements

• Ensure to have all tools on the tool list (list provided during interview)
• Ability to spend up to eight hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting
• Ability to maneuver up to 90kg with the proper equipment
• Ability to fix the problem correctly the first time
• Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Excellent time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment
• Demonstrates a positive attitude, enthusiasm and assertiveness
