Job summary

Clutch Canada is hiring for a Maintenance/Facilities Technician in Mississauga. You will perform general repairs, inspect systems, and support day-to-day facility operations to ensure a safe and reliable workplace.

You’ll work with a collaborative team, handle drywall, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks, and help maintain organized spaces. This role offers growth, competitive pay, and day-one benefits.

Qualifications

  • Basic experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and general building maintenance.
  • Proficiency with drills, saws, wrenches, and other repair equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general repairs such as fixing doors, patching drywall, repairing leaks, replacing light fixtures, and painting.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify issues with plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and structural components.
  • Assist in maintaining the facility by assembling furniture, installing shelving, and troubleshooting minor equipment issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety protocols.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and document completed tasks.
  • Support inventory management by organizing tools, supplies, and maintenance equipment.
  • Assist senior technicians with more complex repair projects to learn best practices.

What you’ll do:

What we’re looking for:
  • Handyman Skills & Repair Knowledge: Basic experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and general building maintenance.
  • Proficiency with Hand and Power Tools: Comfortable using tools such as drills, saws, wrenches, and other equipment used in repairs.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Team Player: Works well in a collaborative environment, supporting and learning from senior technicians while contributing to the team's success.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for spotting maintenance issues and ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Physical Readiness: Capable of lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks
  • Other items to note: Communication, Problem Resolution/Analysis, Customer Service, Team/Individual Contributor, Leadership, Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Skill/Effort.
  • Flexible Schedule: Ability to work minimum 40 hours on flexible hours based on company needs.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary range: $25 per hour
