Job summary

Clutch, Canada’s largest online used car retailer, is looking for a skilled handyman to join our facilities team in Mississauga. You will perform general repairs, inspect systems, and support daily maintenance to keep our operations running smoothly.

This permanent full-time role requires hands-on abilities with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and a proactive approach to safety and workspace organization.

Qualifications

• Basic experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to operate drills, saws, wrenches, and related repair tools.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities in maintenance.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and standing long hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs: doors, drywall, leaks, lighting, painting.
• Inspect plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural systems.
• Assist in maintaining the facility and equipment.
• Keep workspace clean and safe, document tasks.
• Support inventory by organizing tools and supplies.
• Assist senior technicians on complex projects.

About the role:

What you’ll do:

• Perform general repairs such as fixing doors, patching drywall, repairing leaks, replacing light fixtures, and painting.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues with plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and structural components.
• Assist in maintaining the facility by assembling furniture, installing shelving, and troubleshooting minor equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and document completed tasks.
• Support inventory management by organizing tools, supplies, and maintenance equipment.
• Assist senior technicians with more complex repair projects to learn best practices.

What we’re looking for:

• Handyman Skills & Repair Knowledge: Basic experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Proficiency with Hand and Power Tools: Comfortable using tools such as drills, saws, wrenches, and other equipment used in repairs.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Team Player: Works well in a collaborative environment, supporting and learning from senior technicians while contributing to the team's success.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for spotting maintenance issues and ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Physical Readiness: Capable of lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks

• Flexible Schedule: Ability to work minimum 40 hours on flexible hours based on company needs.

• Salary range: $25 per hour
