BPA is seeking a Building Electrical Project Manager Engineer to lead electrical projects from Montréal. The role targets experienced engineers who can guide multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, and deliver projects from planning to completion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience in building electrical engineering.
  • Experience in project coordination or management.
  • Fluent in French and functional to advanced level in English.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Office 365 suite.
  • Autonomous, organized, team-oriented, and client-focused.

Responsibilities

  • Design, coordinate, and oversee building electrical projects ranging from small to very large scale, depending on experience.
  • Act as project manager and discipline lead from planning through delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Understand client needs and propose tailored solutions.
  • Ensure follow up on schedules, budgets, and professional fees.
  • Prepare specifications, technical reports, and service proposals.
  • Participate in pre-project studies and expertise.
  • Support construction oversight and contribute to continuous improvement of practices.

Job Summary

Join a strong and established building electrical engineering team of more than 50 professionals based in Montréal. You will be joining the team led by Marie Pier Ste Croix Marquis, recently appointed Director of Electrical Engineering, who brings more than 15 years of experience at BPA and succeeds the former Director of Electrical Engineering in their transition to a pan Canadian Vice President, Electrical role.

This role is ideal for someone who has the experience and interest to share knowledge, grow and develop teams, advance technical expertise, and lead impactful projects of varying scale, including new construction, full project lifecycle delivery, and major mandates supported by BPA’s in house experts.

Depending on interest and experience, the position offers opportunities in team leadership, people management, mentorship, or deep technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience in building electrical engineering
  • Experience in project coordination or management
  • Fluent in French and functional to advanced level in English*
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Office 365 suite
  • Autonomous, organized, team-oriented, and client-focused

*Proficiency in English is essential due to involvement in commercial projects outside Quebec and national projects where all meetings and documentation are conducted exclusively in English.
