Job summary

BPA in Montréal is seeking an experienced Building Electrical Engineer to lead design and delivery of electrical systems for diverse projects across Canada. You will coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and act as project manager from planning through delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience in building electrical engineering.
  • Experience in project coordination or management.
  • Fluent in French and functional to advanced level in English.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Office 365 suite.
  • Autonomous, organized, team-oriented, and client-focused.
  • Proficiency in English is essential due to involvement in commercial projects outside Quebec and national projects where all meetings and documentation are conducted exclusively in English.

Join a strong and established building electrical engineering team of more than 50 professionals based in Montréal. You will be joining the team led by Marie Pier Ste Croix Marquis, recently appointed Director of Electrical Engineering, who brings more than 15 years of experience at BPA and succeeds the former Director of Electrical Engineering in their transition to a pan Canadian Vice President, Electrical role.

This role is ideal for someone who has the experience and interest to share knowledge, grow and develop teams, advance technical expertise, and lead impactful projects of varying scale, including new construction, full project lifecycle delivery, and major mandates supported by BPA’s in house experts.

Depending on interest and experience, the position offers opportunities in team leadership, people management, mentorship, or deep technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills And Qualifications
