Job summary

Jobtailor in Montreal is seeking a senior electrical engineer to design building electrical systems (≤ 600 V), including lighting, distribution, and fire alarm systems. You will perform technical calculations and prepare documentation for plans and specifications in collaboration with the design team.

The role requires a university degree in electrical or building engineering, at least 5 years of experience, OIQ membership, strong Revit skills, and fluency in French.

Qualifications

• University degree in electrical engineering, building engineering, or equivalent training.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building electrical systems, ideally with an engineering consulting firm.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
• Strong proficiency in Revit; excellent communication skills in French.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for building projects (≤600 V) including lighting and distribution.
• Perform technical calculations and prepare associated documentation.
• Develop plans and specifications with the design team.
• Draft studies and technical reports; estimate quantities and costs.
• Provide technical recommendations and support to clients and internal teams.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and participate in site follow-up when required.

• Design electrical systems for building electrical projects (≤ 600 V), including lighting, electrical distribution, fire alarm systems, and other related equipment
• Perform the required technical calculations and prepare the associated documentation
• Contribute to the development of plans and specifications in collaboration with the design team
• Participate in drafting and analyzing studies and technical reports
• Estimate quantities and costs associated with electrical work
• Provide technical recommendations במסגרת of projects
• Conduct site follow-up and participate in construction supervision when required
• Coordinate activities with the other disciplines involved
• Provide technical support to clients and internal teams
• Perform any other related duties associated with the position

Requirements

• University degree in electrical engineering, building engineering, or equivalent training
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building electrical systems, ideally with an engineering consulting firm
