Job summary

Abbotsford School District seeks a Trades Journeyman – DDC to maintain and enhance DDC systems across district facilities. The role includes networked controls, GUI development, and coordination with district staff.

Based at our Facilities building on King Road, it is a 12-month, continuing position, with hours 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Eligible for Extended Health & Dental Plan and Municipal Pension Plan contributions.

Qualifications

• Requires Grade 12 or equivalent and electrical qualification, with emphasis on DDC systems.
• Minimum 3 years of trades experience in HVAC controls and DDC systems.
• Valid BC Driver’s License (Class 5).
• Proven ability to use Microsoft Office and basic software.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify and maintain DDC systems and related network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, distribution systems, and electrical/mechanical equipment for DDC control.
• Create and modify GUIs or web pages for DDC views and control.
• Provide training and technical support to other trades and district staff.
• Ensure adherence to codes, policies, and safety regulations.
