Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• BC HVAC Certificate and Gasfitter Class B (Class A preferred).
• Journeyperson HVAC with boiler maintenance and DDC/building automation experience.
• Restricted electrical ticket is an asset.
• Valid BC Driver's License (Class 5).
• Strong ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair heating and ventilation systems to ensure safety and health in district buildings.
• Calibrate and repair pneumatic and electronic controls and thermostats, including DDC systems.
• Use building automation software for programming and scheduling of HVAC systems.
• Liaise with district staff on indoor air quality and heating/cooling issues.
• Join the district in maintaining current techniques and equipment; work both independently and as a team.
