Job summary

BS Construction Ltd. is seeking a Construction Helper to support skilled trades on active job sites across the Lower Mainland. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training is provided; you will learn safety practices, site procedures, and basic construction tasks.

You will lift and carry materials, assist with site setup, and help keep work areas clean and organized while following team instructions and maintaining a strong work ethic.

• Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks on construction sites.
• Strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradespersons by providing tools and materials as needed.
• Load, unload, and transport construction materials to worksites.
• Prepare sites by digging trenches, backfilling holes, and compacting earth for renovations.
• Set up and dismantle temporary structures like scaffolds and signage as required.
• Keep the work site clean by removing rubble and debris during renovations.
• Prepare surfaces for renovations by cleaning and ensuring readiness.
• Foster a collaborative work environment with open communication among team members.
• Follow tradesmen’s instructions to mix, pour, and spread materials accurately.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures at all times.
• Maintain and care for construction equipment, cleaning and storing it safely after each shift.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, resolve issues, and plan upcoming tasks.
• Perform other duties as required.
