Job summary

California Drywall Ltd. urgently seeks a Construction Helper in Surrey, BC for permanent, full-time work at 17901 57A Avenue. Wage is $25.00 per hour for 40 hours weekly with 4% vacation pay.

Start date: As soon as possible. Language required: English. Education not required and training provided; duties include loading/unloading materials, assembling forms, assisting crew, and site cleanup in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Education: None
• Experience: None (training would be provided)

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and transport construction materials
• Errect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades
• Mix, pour and spread materials
• Assist heavy equipment operators
• Level earth to fine grade specifications
• Clean and pile salvaged materials
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
• Perform miscellaneous labouring activities to help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed
• Work conditions: Fast paced environment, repetitive tasks, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, physically demanding, standing for extended periods.
