Open Door Group is seeking a Peer Support Worker to join the BRIDGE program in Edmonton. You will provide practical, emotional, and social support to participants navigating complex barriers in a mobile outreach model.

The role requires lived experience, collaboration with Case Managers, and travel within Edmonton to social housing and community sites. Flexibility in scheduling and a valid driver's license are assets for this position.

Qualificações

  • Minimum one year of recent, related experience supporting individuals with mental health challenges.
  • Demonstrated lived or living experience with mental health recovery, homelessness, or housing transitions.
  • Ability to use lived experience intentionally, ethically in peer role.
  • Experience facilitating groups or workshops.
  • Knowledge of harm reduction and trauma-informed practices.
  • Strong crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilidades
