McElhanney Ltd. in Kamloops seeks an Intermediate Bridge Engineer to advance our bridge design team. You will focus on structural design, inspection, evaluation, and construction support for highway and pedestrian bridges across Western Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in structural engineering.
• 5–12 years of bridge design and analysis experience.
• Professional Engineer (PEng) in BC or eligibility.
• Experience applying local design codes and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide design support for bridge projects, primarily on bridges, with potential work on retaining walls, large diameter culverts, marine structures, and other transportation infrastructure.
• Coordinate with an integrated team to meet schedules, budgets, and quality control standards.
• Provide structural inspections and/or construction supervision for structural projects.
