Job summary

Associated Engineering in Kelowna is seeking an experienced Intermediate Structural Engineer to lead bridge design, inspection, and rehabilitation projects. You will work with senior staff on municipal and highway bridges, earth retaining structures, and MMCD contract administration.

Qualifications

  • Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer with EGBC.
  • 4+ years of structural bridge engineering experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Committed team player and ability to work independently.
  • Leadership potential.
  • Interest in developing a career path focused on technical leadership, project management, client management, or a combination based on your career aspirations and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead bridge design, inspection and rehabilitation projects with the support of senior staff and further develop proficient skills in all areas of project delivery, including: inspection and assessment of existing bridge structures for municipal clients.
  • Design of concrete rehabilitation for municipal bridges.
  • Design of municipal and highway bridges.
  • Design of earth retaining structures.
  • Tender package preparation including developing supplementary technical specifications for use with the MMCD contract document framework.
  • Contract administration in accordance with MMCD.
  • This role may be client facing and occasional travel and site reviews may be required.

In this role you will be responsible for bridge design, inspection and rehabilitation projects. What You’ll Do
