Job summary

Argcon Group Inc. is seeking a skilled mason to perform bricklaying and masonry work on various residential, commercial and industrial projects on site in Ontario. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, estimating materials, and constructing masonry units.

The role requires physical stamina, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to work as part of a team on demanding sites. Valid driver’s license is preferred for on-site transport.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
• Proficient reading of sketches and blueprints to calculate materials.
• Accurate and reliable in handling masonry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units.
• Estimate materials, tools and equipment required for projects.
• Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing.
• Construct and install prefabricated masonry units.
• Prepare tenders and quotations.
• Build patios, garden walls and other decorative installations.
• Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required.
• Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
• Lay bricks to build chimneys and fireplaces for residential or commercial use.
• Lay bricks to build masonry shells of industrial chimneys.
• Line or reline furnaces, kilns, boilers and similar installations with refractory bricks.
• Restore, clean or paint existing masonry structures.
