Job summary

Rivervalley Masonry Group Ltd. in Mississauga, ON, is seeking a skilled bricklayer to prepare and lay bricks, stones, and masonry units. This full-time role requires working at heights and reading blueprints to ensure precise alignment.

You will perform waterproofing, veneer work, repairs, and installations across multiple GTA and Ontario sites under LiUNA collective agreement; wage is CAD 53.87 per hour with 35-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of bricklaying experience.
• Proficiency in applying damp-proofing and mortar.
• Able to lift heavy loads and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units.
• Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing.
• Construct and install prefabricated masonry units and other decorative installations.
• Face, size, cut and lay stones, bricks, concrete blocks.
• Lay conventional or tongue & groove blocks without mortar to build walls or foundation walls.
• Waterproof masonry.
• Remove and replace existing masonry work for alterations or restorations.
• Repair walls, partitions, pave surfaces, chimneys, etc.
• Use trowels to spread mortar and use measuring and layout tools like plumb line and levels to ensure proper alignment of structures being worked on.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.

Wage:

$53.87 per hour (full-time 35 hrs) weather permitting

Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Province of Ontario
