Chill craft is all about understanding that people want to connect, drink delicious beer and feel good. We have now expanded into Alternative Non-Alc beverages with intention to spread our ethos across multiple exciting New products.

Role Summary: We are seeking a dynamic, high-pace, and think-on-your-feet Operations Manager to oversee the complex logistics and inventory functions of our growing beverage company. This pivotal role is responsible for managing key operational areas, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timely flow of goods from raw materials to finished products reaching our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Logistics & Distribution Oversight:Oversee the Logistics & Inventory Coordinator and Delivery Driver(s) , who are direct reports to this role.
  • Finished Goods Inventory Management: Hold direct responsibility for Finished goods inventory management , including monitoring par levels and the burn rate . This involves monitoring finished goods inventory to align production with demand and prevent overproduction, and reviewing inventory levels to avoid out-of-stocks in collaboration with Sales.
  • Delivery Operations: Manage the overall Delivery scheduling, routing, and POD management processes. This includes overseeing internal deliveries utilizing tools like Optimo route and managing communication with third-party logistics partners like Fil and TNG. Ensure drivers execute delivery routes and collect PODs.
  • Warehouse & Inventory Flow: Manage warehouse/stockroom layout and flow . Oversee the Logistics & Inventory Coordinator in maintaining inventory accuracy and flow , which includes conducting regular inventory audits, utilizing inventory tracking software, and managing raw material + packaging inventory.
  • Forecasting & Planning: Support the Head Brewer with Forecasting & Scheduling . Collaborate with Sales, Production, and Accounting particularly to align forecasts with packaging and inventory . Ensure purchase orders align with production schedules to prevent overstocking or shortages.
  • Procurement: Manage Packaging Procurement , including cans, boxes, ends, labels, and trays. Oversee the sourcing and evaluation of reliable suppliers and negotiation of favorable terms.
  • Order Management Oversight: Oversee the Order fulfillment process for both B2B + B2C channels, ensuring orders are processed promptly and accurately across multiple channels (Shopify, TBS, LCBO, licensees, grocery, taprooms). Ensure systems are utilized effectively for entering and processing orders.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Act as a key liaison, Communicating with Sales on order status and sharing delivery schedules. Confirm deliveries with Accounting for payment processing . Coordinate with Sales, Production, and Accounting teams.
  • Process Improvement: Drive the review and enhancement of logistics and inventory processes. Appoint accountability for tasks, develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistency company-wide. Address identified problems such as confirming addresses and needing centralized schedules/documentation.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and maintain accurate records of logistics activities to comply with requirements and audits.
  • Material Handling & Storage: Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are developed for safe handling and storage of materials, meeting specific requirements to preserve quality.

Qualifications & Skills (Inferred from responsibilities and descriptions):

  • Experience in operations, logistics, and inventory management within the beverage or related industry.
  • Proven ability to manage a team, including direct reports.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including tracking, accuracy, and flow.
  • Experience with transportation planning, routing, and POD management.
  • Familiarity with logistics software and order management systems (e.g., DIG, Shopify, Optimo Route mentioned in sources).
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, capable of liaising effectively between departments, staff, and partners.
  • Understanding of packaging procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of forecasting and collaborative planning with sales and production.
  • Ability to drive process improvement and SOP development.
