Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing is seeking a Breakfast Cook for the Main Lodge Kitchen in Blue River, BC. The role involves preparing a daily buffet for up to 150 guests with live stations, in a team environment, following safety procedures, and ensuring high-quality, timely service.

Shifts are early morning, with dress code and guest interaction standards. Opportunities for seasonal or year-round employment with subsidized staff housing and meals are provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized culinary program preferred.
• Expert knowledge of all aspects of breakfast cookery.
• Expert level knife skills.
• High level multitasking.
• Food Safe Certification and WHMIS required.
• 2+ years' experience in a similar position.
• Must be able to frequently bend and kneel, lift moderate weight, and work on feet for an extended period.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work efficiently, independently and as part of a team.
• Be willing to work a variety of day and weekend shifts.
• Attributes include an energetic personality, punctuality, self-starter, a sense of urgency and good grooming standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the highest level of quality and presentation of meals for guests.
• Breakfast buffet for up to 150 persons with live stations in the dining room.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and control all waste.
• Check fridge, inventory, and prep list daily.
• Clean fridges on a regular basis.
• Prepare lunch for guests as needed.
• Bavarian House Breakfast prep if necessary.
• Help with dinner prep of salad bar, leaf salads, oysters, and mussels as needed.
• Communicate all problems and suggestions to your supervisor.
