Job summary

LandSea Camp Services, part of the Aramark Canada family, is hiring a Breakfast Cook for remote BC camps. You will prepare breakfast items, stock stations, and ensure quality and safety standards while working on site.

This role offers long shifts, on-site meals and accommodation, strong team collaboration, and opportunities for professional development. Wages range from 22.57 to 25.65 CAD per hour, with overtime and rotating schedules.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years' experience as breakfast cook or similar role
  • High production baking with 70% scratch baking
  • Knowledge of breakfast preparation techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Speak, read and write English

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook breakfast items such as eggs, omelets, pancakes and breakfast meats
  • Set up and stock cooking stations before service
  • Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, portions and quality standards
  • Monitor inventory and notify management of supply needs
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and follow health regulations
  • Assist with receiving, storing and rotating food products
  • Support other kitchen staff as needed
  • Clean kitchen equipment and workstations after service

About Working in Remote Camps

Our campsare located inremoteareasand staff live on-site on scheduled shifts and leave camp on scheduled breaks.

Most of our LandSea camps offer individual staff accommodation, ensuite or shared bathroom, full meals, WIFI and some have health/gym facilities for staff.

Camp staff work long hours and multiple days in a row. A typical workday is between 10-12 hours (day or night shift)and overtime rates apply.

Health and Safety and a Respectful Workplace are essential for everyone working together at LandSea. Our camps are drug and alcohol-freeworkplaces andrequire pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

The Breakfast Cook and Baker isresponsible for preparing breakfast and service, plus preparing all baked items, as outlined in a predetermined menu plan.

  • Wages starting between$22.57 to $25.65 per hour
  • Overtime pay Schedule: 10-hour or 12-hour shiftsdepending on operational needs
  • Rotation: 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off, 3 weeks on and 1 week off or 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years'previousexperience as a breakfast cook, line cook,bakeror similar role
  • High production baking experience while maintaining a minimum of 70% scratch baking
  • Knowledge of breakfast food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Food Safe Certification is an asset
  • Great communication. Speak, read and write English
  • Team player who can provide support, motivation, and encouragement to others
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook breakfast items such as eggs, omelets, pancakes, waffles, breakfast meats, and other menu offerings.
  • Set up and stock cooking stations before service.
  • Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, portion standards, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor food inventory and notify management of supply needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food products.
  • Work efficiently during busy breakfast service periods.
  • Support other kitchen staff as needed.
  • Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations after service.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
