Job summary

CBC Manitoba is seeking an exceptional videographer to cover the Westman region, based in Brandon, Manitoba. You will be a visual storyteller, creating distinctive visuals in video and photography for TV, radio, and digital platforms.

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Avid is required, with ability to edit for various channels. You may work irregular hours to cover breaking news and events, and travel to remote locations as needed.

Qualifications

Excellent level of technical knowledge and understanding of daily Television News production methods.
Ability to operate and troubleshoot ENG cameras and related gear including wireless mics and lighting.
Ability to edit video/audio using non-linear editing software (Adobe Premiere or Avid).
Strong image composition skills in videography and still photography.
Works well under deadlines with a calm and professional demeanor.
Willingness to travel to remote locations and work varying shifts.

Responsibilities

Prepares, aligns and sets up field cameras ensuring optimum visual and technical quality under prevailing conditions.
Lights the subject or scene, composes and records program material using professional field equipment.
Delivers all recorded materials and performs editing for all video platforms (TV, website, YouTube, TikTok).
In the field, performs simple maintenance of equipment.
Drives a motor vehicle and handles routine vehicle maintenance.
As assigned, may perform related duties or tasks as needed.
