Job summary

Westman Communications Group in Brandon, MB is seeking a Mobile Production Assistant for casual, on-site support in community programming. You will help produce content for WCG TV, set up and shoot multi-camera events, and perform basic video editing while assisting with scheduling and metadata for VOD content.

Candidate will join a team offering learning opportunities, development initiatives, and company perks.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Progress toward (or completion of) a related university/college degree/diploma is an asset.
• Equivalency in work experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Participate in creating WCG TV content through studio and mobile production.
• Assist with setup and capturing content for multi-camera productions.
• Set up and operate camcorder for public events requiring single-camera production.
• Manage basic evening and weekend studio productions.
• Perform general video editing of content.
• Assist in scheduling programs on WCG TV and create metadata for VOD content.
• Ensure all equipment is handled, returned, and stored properly.
• Assist with on-site training of volunteers.

What you'll do:

What you'll bring to the team:

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent


• In the progress of completing (or full completion) of a university/college degree or diploma in Interactive Media Arts of a related field is considered an asset.


• Equivalency in work experience or self-study may be considered.


• Experience in television production equipment, basic television production techniques, digital editing with Adobe Premiere Pro, or creating graphics with Adobe Photoshop is considered an asset.


• Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license and be willing to travel.


• Must be available for day, evening, and weekend work.


• Must be able to carry up to 75 lbs.
